Data Science Trends For 2022
Let me give you a little bit of insight. When I haven't completely formed an idea or I'm not ready to take credit for it I will say, ‘I heard it in a talk.’ Sometimes I actually did hear it in a talk. Other times it’s an insider’s code for, take this concept as partial and uncertain.
I am part of a few Data Science clubs and we do give talks to each other. In one, we share implementation details for complex models. We present project postmortems where we can learn from each other and get a broader understanding of what works and what doesn’t. Another one is deep dives into research.
The one I am going to pull from today is a technical futurism club. It’s fun because we all share our fringe ideas for what’s next in the field. However, to be presented, the idea must have at least circumstantial evidence to support it. Basically, we need to build a compelling case for our ‘out there’ idea or we stop getting invited to speak.
Here are the ideas I think are most relevant to 2022.
