The Data and AI Strategist, as a senior advisor, seems to be competing with Directors and CXO in AI who want to be the ones to set the strategy and vision. How to get Directors and CXO’s to see how an AI Strategist can help them with the implementation of that vision?

Most leaders don't know the role exists and the title alone isn't enough to move their thinking. We should define the role and the artifacts it creates and owns. We must explain the value created by each artifact and process the AI Strategists owns. It's also critical to frame the role as an accelerator, not overhead.

Leaders know they have a role in AI strategy, but it's poorly defined, leading to leaders taking on too much. They underestimate the scope of doing everything themselves because they don't understand the Big Picture.

We must deliver the frameworks and clearly define the difference between owning strategy creation and owning strategy implementation. Leaders are involved in data and AI strategy planning so we must define what that means in terms of the frameworks. Leaders own strategy implementation and we must provide frameworks for that as well.
